Bresser Wi-Fi add-on sensors, sent straight to your own dashboard
Connect your Bresser sensors to an online dashboard beta
Bresser's Wi-Fi weather line has no cloud dashboard of its own. Its WSLink app sends data to services such as Weather Underground and Weathercloud, and also offers a custom server option that can point anywhere. SensorConsole is a custom server you can point it at: your Bresser soil and extra temperature sensors then appear on an online dashboard with history charts and alerts, next to the rest of your sensors.
This connection is in beta: it is newer than our other integrations. If a reading does not come through, email sensorconsole@protonmail.com and we will sort it out.
What you can monitor
- Soil moisture and soil temperature probes
- Extra temperature and humidity sensors
- Full Bresser weather stations (connect those at vweatherstation.com/pws)
How to connect Bresser online
- Create a free SensorConsole account Sign up, then choose Connect a sensor.
- Pick the custom server option Choose the Wi-Fi station with a custom server option. SensorConsole generates a Station ID and password for this device.
- Enter the details in the WSLink app Open your station's settings in the WSLink app and look for the custom server option, which sits alongside the Weather Underground and Weathercloud options. Under Weather server, choose Other server and set the API type to WUnderground API. In the URL box type only sensorconsole.com, with no http://, no slash and no path, because the station adds the path itself. Enter the Station ID (called Sender ID in some apps) and the password (called Station key) from your device page, switch Upload on and save. Labels vary a little between app versions and station models.
- Set the sensor channel If you are adding a soil probe or an extra temperature sensor, enter its channel number so SensorConsole picks out the right reading.
- Confirm the first reading After the next upload from your station, the reading appears on the device page.
Use cases
Add-on soil sensors join the same dashboard as every other brand you own.
Send the full station to vweatherstation.com/pws and the individual sensors here, from the same Bresser hardware.
Questions about Bresser and SensorConsole
How do I connect a Bresser sensor to an online dashboard?
Use the custom server option in the WSLink app and point it at SensorConsole with the Station ID and password generated for your device.
Can I monitor my Bresser sensors remotely?
Yes. Once your station uploads to SensorConsole, you can view the readings from any browser, anywhere.
Does Bresser have its own online dashboard?
Not a dedicated one. Its Wi-Fi stations upload to third-party services, which is why a custom server such as SensorConsole is useful.
