Push any Home Assistant entity to a hosted dashboard
Send Home Assistant sensor data to an online dashboard
Home Assistant already knows the state of every sensor you own. If you want a simple hosted dashboard you can open from anywhere, without opening ports or paying for remote access, you can push chosen sensor values out to SensorConsole on a schedule. Home Assistant makes the request outward, so your install is never exposed.
What you can monitor
- Any numeric sensor entity
- Temperature, humidity, power, soil moisture, CO2 and more
How to connect Home Assistant online
- Create a generic push device In SensorConsole, choose Connect a sensor, then DIY / generic push. Copy the token shown on the device page.
- Add a rest_command Paste the snippet below into your Home Assistant configuration, replacing YOUR_TOKEN and the entity names.
- Add an automation The snippet includes one that pushes every ten minutes.
- Restart or reload Reload configuration, run the automation once, and check the device page for the first reading.
# configuration.yaml
rest_command:
sensorconsole_push:
url: "https://sensorconsole.com/ingest-generic-push.php?token=YOUR_TOKEN"
method: post
content_type: "application/json"
payload: >-
{"temp_c": {{ states('sensor.living_room_temperature') | float(0) }},
"humidity": {{ states('sensor.living_room_humidity') | float(0) }}}
automation:
- alias: "Push readings to SensorConsole"
trigger:
- platform: time_pattern
minutes: "/10"
action:
- service: rest_command.sensorconsole_push
YOUR_TOKEN is the device token shown on your device page after you create a generic push device.

Questions about Home Assistant and SensorConsole
How do I view Home Assistant data remotely without port forwarding?
Push the values out with a rest_command, as shown above, and read them on SensorConsole.
Does this replace Home Assistant?
No. It is a lightweight hosted view of selected sensors.
Can I send more than one sensor?
Yes. Each field in the payload becomes a reading on the same device, or create one device per sensor.
